AHI Interviews SEARMS Chairperson Tom Slockee

For NAIDOC Week last year, SEARMS Chairperson “Uncle Tom” Slockee caught up with Australasian Housing Institute (AHI) CEO, Mark Henderson for a yarn about what reconciliation means to him and where his passion for housing began.
In the interview, Tom speaks about how his experiences in his early years growing up on Minjungbal country taught him the importance of a solid and positive home environment, and also discusses the importance of NAIDOC Week for all Australians, but more importantly for First Nations peoples.
